Barefoot Safety Stirrups with Cage


Designed for safety, the Barefoot Safety Stirrup with Cage will prevent your foot from slipping through the stirrup while riding on trail or in the arena. This stirrup hangs at a 90 degree angle so your foot can glide in easily and your foot will comfortably be pointed forward. Even if you loose your stirrup, you can easily regain them. Perfect for endurance and trail riding.

The stirrups are made with lightweight brushed aluminum, and the cage is made of black flexible rubber. The stirrup base is a wide oval with rubber pads that provide grip and comfort for the sole of your foot.

The slot at the top of the stirrup for the stirrup leathers is 1 1/2" inches. Use with 1" English stirrup leathers.

Base of stirrup base is 4.5" wide.

4 of 5 Loving these stirrups, bad shipping method. March 29, 2024

I'm loving these stirrups, but the cage arrives deformed from shipping. The rubber cage was almost entirely inverted, making them unusable out of the box. I contacted the company for advice, and they suggested putting them in hot water for a few hours with something packed into the cage to hold the shape. So far, the shape is holding. I would have given 5 stars if they arrived without the deformity or if this information was provided in the packaging.

They are very comfortable to ride in, and I love the 90 degree turn. They are easy to pick up with my feet because they sit in the correct position.

These stirrups are comfortable and help keep me feeling safer in the saddle knowing I have the cage. My only qualm is the cage is a extends beyond the stirrups a bit more than they really need to, which makes them a bit bulkier. Otherwise they are great.

Stirrups are great.
The little logo on the cages peels off almost instantly - suggest either not putting it on the product or finding a better paint.
