Barefoot Mecate Reins - Nylon
Select this product for the soft nylon option of the
Barefoot Mecate Reins, or the real hair mecate reins for more advanced training. These reins are intended for use with a bosal, or can be used as a rein attachment on a rope halter to create a rope halter hackamore. The nylon mecate reins are multi-use - use as long rope, lunge, etc. a handy piece of tack equipment to have! The reins feature a decorative tassel made of natural color hair on one end, while the other end has a great looking, handy, Barefoot leather flapper/popper.
To select between the nylon or horse hair, you can consider that the real hair mecate works more with the horse's neck, and encourages light responses for neck reining. It is for a more advanced level in training, and also has a more traditional look.
See the product "Features" Tab for detailed instructions on tying these reins to a bosal noseband!
