Pommel May 29, 2023 Reviewer: Louise Carlilse from Australia.   I have found that a pool noodle does the better job . And much less expensive . Also can be shaped to the angles of the hard plastic pommels, love the saddles . Was this review helpful to you?

Pommel insert August 31, 2022 Reviewer: Star from Adams, NY United States   I really like my Barefoot saddle on my 7 year old Clydesdale, but I wanted to try the soft pommel insert instead of the XL pommel that I originally ordered. My horse is in training and gaining muscle and still growing, so this insert gives him a little more flexibility and comfort. Was this review helpful to you?

No support May 27, 2021 Reviewer: Christine from Flagstaff, AZ United States   Was expecting it to be wool and firmer. I may as well stuffed cotton balls in the space. Good to have the pattern to work with, but for $40, it was not at all what was needed. If there was a flex pommel that would keep the saddle together but not stab the horse in the withers or shoulders, that would be optimal Was this review helpful to you?

Soft Pommel nest February 10, 2021 Reviewer: Richard Kurz from Locust Grove, VA United States   It works fine.  I wonder why Barefoot doesn't simply integrate the soft pommel insert  in the hard plastic ones.  That is,  cut the hard plastic inserts 2 inches shorter on each side and tie on a soft cushion on the bottom of each side of the insert.  Then one insert fits all horses since the soft bottom of the insert will adjust to the horse.
